YOUR INSTALL GUIDE

Install your eSIM in 2 minutes

Install at home on Wi-Fi before you fly, then switch it on when you land in Morocco. Your home SIM stays on for calls and texts.

Use Wi-Fi to installKeep your QR code privateDon't delete the eSIM

1Check your phone

📱
Does it support eSIM?

Most phones from the last few years do: iPhone XS and newer, and many recent Samsung, Google Pixel and other models.

Quick check: dial *#06#. If you see an EID number, your phone supports eSIM.

🔓
Is it unlocked?

Your phone must not be locked to one carrier.

  • iPhone: Settings › General › About › look for Carrier Lock: No SIM restrictions.
  • Android: ask your carrier, or try another carrier's SIM.

2Install before you fly

Fastest way (iOS 17.4 and newer): open your SIMLIT email on your iPhone and tap Install eSIM, if the button is there. Otherwise, follow the steps below.

Camera or Settings › Add eSIM › scan › tap “Cellular Plan”
  1. Open the QR code from your SIMLIT email on another screen (laptop, tablet or a printout).
  2. On your iPhone, go to Settings › Cellular › Add eSIM (on some iPhones it's Mobile Service).
  3. Choose Use QR Code and scan it.
  4. Tap Continue, then label it “SIMLIT” or “Travel” so it's easy to find.
  5. Keep your home SIM as the default line for calls and texts. You'll switch data when you land.

Can't scan? Choose Enter Details Manually and type the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code from your email. Some phones ask for one full code starting with LPA:1$ instead.

Your phone shows one of these two screens. Copy the codes from your SIMLIT email.

3When you land

Choose SIMLIT for data › Data Roaming on › online
  1. Turn on the SIMLIT eSIM if it's off.
  2. Set it for mobile data. iPhone: Settings › Cellular › Cellular Data. Android: SIM manager › Mobile data. Choose SIMLIT.
  3. Turn on Data Roaming for the SIMLIT line only. This is normal for travel eSIMs and does not create roaming charges from SIMLIT.
  4. Give it a minute to connect. You're online. Enjoy Morocco!

4During your trip

📊
Check your data

iPhone: Settings › Cellular, then scroll to see usage for the SIMLIT line. Android: Settings › Network › Data usage. For your plan's remaining data and validity, open your order on simlit.app with Recover your eSIM.

➕
Need more data?

Top up your existing SIMLIT eSIM on simlit.app. No new QR or installation needed. Or buy a new plan if you're heading somewhere else.

📶
Hotspot

Most plans let you share data with a laptop or tablet. Turn on Personal Hotspot as usual. Your plan details in your email say if it's included.

💬
Keep your number

Your home SIM stays on for calls and texts. WhatsApp and iMessage keep working with your usual number over SIMLIT data. Turn off data for your home SIM to avoid roaming charges from your carrier.

5After your trip

You can leave the SIMLIT eSIM on your phone and just switch it off. If you plan to top up for a future trip, keep it installed, because a deleted eSIM usually can't be reinstalled. Switch mobile data back to your home SIM when you're home.

Something not working?

I have signal but no internet

Check that Data Roaming is on for the SIMLIT line and that SIMLIT is selected for mobile data. Then turn Airplane mode on and off, or restart your phone.

My phone says it can't add the eSIM

Make sure you're on Wi-Fi and your phone supports eSIM and isn't carrier-locked. Each QR code can usually be installed only once, so don't scan it on a second phone. Message us on WhatsApp and we'll help.

I deleted the eSIM by mistake

Message us on WhatsApp or email with your order email. We'll check what we can do.

It says "No Service" after I land

Give it a few minutes after landing. Then turn Airplane mode on and off. If it still shows No Service, go to your SIMLIT line's Network Selection, turn off Automatic and pick a local network from the list.

Do I need to set an APN?

Usually not, it's set automatically. If you have signal but no data after trying the steps above, check your SIMLIT email for APN details, or message us and we'll help.

When does my plan start?

For most plans, the validity period starts when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination, not when you install it. Your plan details are in your SIMLIT email.

Can I install it on two phones?

No. Each eSIM can be installed on one phone only, usually once. Choose the phone you'll travel with.

Will my home number still work?

Yes. Your home SIM stays in your phone for calls and texts. Keep in mind your home carrier may charge for calls or data on that line while abroad, so switch its data off.
